The best direct mail software for most B2B revenue teams is the one that personalizes every piece from CRM data, gives each piece somewhere trackable to land, and can still tell you what the campaign added. Sincerely ranks first below on that basis. PFL is stronger when custom production and deep enterprise workflows matter more, while Sendoso is the better fit when gifts, swag, and recipient choice drive the program.

Don't buy from a generic feature count. Lob and PostGrid are infrastructure products, Postalytics is marketer-friendly print automation, Poplar is built around performance mail, and Handwrytten specializes in pen-written cards. Each can be the right answer. The best direct mail software is the one built for the physical format, workflow, and proof standard you actually need this quarter.

How we ranked the best direct mail software

I ranked these products for a B2B marketer or RevOps lead, not for a local postcard advertiser or a developer sending compliance notices. That changes the order.

The first test is format fit. A postcard API isn't a substitute for custom dimensional kits, and a gifting marketplace isn't a print production system. Next comes CRM depth: triggers, field-level personalization, status write-back, and usable Salesforce or HubSpot records. CSV import alone gets little credit.

Per-piece tracking matters, but it only proves that a piece moved or a code got scanned. Incremental lift needs a comparable group that received no mail. I ranked native holdouts above influenced-pipeline dashboards because influenced revenue can include deals that were already moving.

Then I looked at minimums, published prices, and fulfillment control. A quote-only product may still be right, especially for custom work, but it makes early budgeting harder. For the full demo script, use the nine-question direct mail platform framework. It covers the uncomfortable questions that a feature grid skips.

Prices below were checked on vendor sites on August 28, 2026. They will move.

That ranking is deliberately narrow. If your main requirement changes from measured B2B print to global gifting, Sendoso or Reachdesk should jump to the top. If engineers own the workflow, Lob probably does.

Measurement-led B2B platforms

1. Best for personalized mail with tracking built in

Sincerely builds the whole workflow around making a piece specific to one account and then giving that piece somewhere to go. Copy is personalized per recipient from Salesforce, HubSpot, or CSV fields. Every piece carries its own QR code and short URL, and those resolve to hosted landing pages you can serve from your own link domain, so a scan lands somewhere that matches the mail instead of a generic homepage. Address verification and correction are included on every plan.

Measurement sits underneath that rather than on top of it. Account-level holdouts let you compare mailed accounts against a matched group that got nothing, which is a more honest read than counting scans.

All four formats run live: postcards, letters, and gifts across the US and Canada, plus handwritten notes in the US, written with a real pen by Handwrytten's robots. Pricing is published rather than quote-only, from a $199 one-time pilot up to $4,500 a month with 20 seats included.

2. Best for enterprise production and custom pieces

PFL combines software with its own printing, mailing, and fulfillment operation. It supports personalized flat and dimensional mail, and its integration pages document Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Iterable, Eloqua, and Braze. Delivery data can create follow-up tasks and feed attribution inside the existing CRM or marketing platform.

This is the heavier choice, in a useful way. A team running custom account kits, strict brand controls, or large enterprise journeys will value production expertise more than self-serve simplicity. PFL announced that Vomela acquired it on July 9, 2025; the PFL product and brand remain active. Public platform pricing wasn't available when checked.

6. Best for high-volume holdout testing

Poplar is the other shortlist product whose documentation clearly describes an in-platform holdout. It supports postcards, letters, bifolds, and trifolds, with native or webhook connections centered on tools such as Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Iterable. Its roots show: the audience, retargeting, and attribution workflow reads more like consumer performance marketing than sales-led ABM.

That doesn't disqualify it. It means a B2B team should test account handling and CRM write-back carefully. Poplar publishes a free software tier and postcards from $0.73 on that tier, while paid monthly plans and lower unit rates are also public as of the check date.

Don't confuse a QR scan with causal proof. Our guide to measuring direct mail ROI explains the difference between response, matchback, influenced pipeline, and lift.

4. Best API for a product or engineering team

Lob has a broad print API covering postcards, letters, self-mailers, checks, booklets, and other formats. It also documents Salesforce and HubSpot connections, webhooks, mail analytics, dynamic QR codes, and pURLs. The product works best when a technical team wants mail as infrastructure, though paid plans now include no-code integrations too.

Pricing is unusually visible. On August 28, 2026, Lob listed a free Developer plan, a Startup plan from $260 a month, a Growth plan from $550, and custom Enterprise pricing, with separate per-piece rates. Those numbers include print and postage but vary by format and plan.

5. Best no-code print automation for marketers

Postalytics gives marketers a visual builder, triggered drip campaigns, postcards, letters, and folded self-mailers. Its documentation lists HubSpot, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, Zoho, HighLevel, Klaviyo, Marketo, Zapier, and more, though some premium integrations require a subscription.

It tracks USPS Intelligent Mail Barcode events and can put personalized QR codes and URLs on pieces. The public free plan charges per piece, and the pricing page listed a first-class 4-by-6 postcard at $1.081 on that plan when checked. Higher-volume tables are published. Native holdout creation wasn't documented, so plan the control outside the platform if incrementality matters.

7. Best for international transactional and compliance mail

PostGrid is a print-and-mail API with letters, postcards, and checks, plus address verification and production networks in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Its enterprise tier lists native Salesforce and HubSpot integrations; the starter tier is more API-led.

The starter plan was $0 a month for up to 500 mailings, with published per-piece prices of $1.059 for a letter and $0.902 for a postcard on the check date. That transparency helps a team prototype before an enterprise quote. For any API platform, settle address verification and suppression before production, not after returns arrive.

What happened to Inkit?

Inkit still operates, and a direct-mail trademark page remains online. Its current homepage, however, leads with document generation, digital signatures, workflows, storage, and records management. I wouldn't shortlist it for a new B2B marketing mail program without first confirming that the older direct-mail product, integrations, formats, and service levels are actively sold. This is a repositioning, not a shutdown.

Gifting-led platforms

3. Best broad gifting suite

Sendoso should be the first demo for a B2B team that wants gifts and swag to carry more weight than postcards. Its current plan grid covers global gifts, eGifts, marketplace sends, fulfillment, event sending, campaign services, AI-assisted gift selection, and integrations that expand by tier. Salesforce and HubSpot are documented, along with Marketo, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, and other revenue tools.

The plan names and included features are public, but dollar prices require a conversation. That's reasonable for international warehousing and custom kits, though buyers should still request a full fee schedule for storage, pick and pack, shipping, returns, and unused balances.

8. Best for international gifting and event logistics

Reachdesk is built around global gifts, swag, eGifts, warehousing, and event fulfillment. It documents Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesloft, and Outreach integrations, with delivery tracking and ROI reporting. Its pricing page starts platform plans at $20,000 per year and asks buyers to request a tailored quote.

Choose it when several regions must source and ship locally. A postcard-first team will find the platform heavier than necessary, but that same operational depth is the point for an international gifting program.

Postal and Alyce are now Sendoso products

Postal still runs as a distinct product and website, with a marketplace, swag, direct mail, Salesforce and HubSpot connections, and influenced-pipeline reporting. Sendoso acquired it in May 2025. Buyers can still evaluate Postal, but product continuity now belongs in the Sendoso roadmap conversation; Postal's current main plan is quote-only.

Alyce isn't an independent shortlist entry. Sendoso announced the asset purchase on February 1, 2024 and later brought Alyce's recipient-choice ideas into its own product. Old comparison pages that present Alyce and Sendoso as separate vendors are stale.

If gifts are central to the motion, work through the economics and recipient rules before the platform demo. Our B2B corporate gift guide is a practical starting point.

Handwriting specialists

Best for pen-written cards

Handwrytten uses custom robots that hold real pens. It offers cards, custom stationery, inserts, and gift cards, with direct Salesforce and HubSpot integrations plus Zapier and an API. This is the focused choice for thank-you notes, renewals, and executive follow-up where the writing method is part of the brief.

Its site listed retail cards at $3.75 plus postage, with business subscriptions starting at $449 per four-week billing period and lower unit prices by tier when checked. Ask for physical samples. Repeated letterforms, ink, envelope addressing, and the actual card stock matter more here than a dashboard screenshot.

Best low-commitment mix of print and handwriting-style mail

Thanks.io spans postcards, letters, notecards, and gift cards, with dynamic QR tracking, an API, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, and other connectors. Its handwriting is produced by a proprietary rendering engine, which is a different production method from Handwrytten's pen robots. Pick between them by looking at finished pieces, not the word "handwritten."

Thanks.io publishes a free plan, paid plans, per-piece pricing, and no minimum order. The public plan comparison listed Business at $49 a month and Professional at $199 when checked, with postage included in unit rates.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best direct mail software for small businesses?

For occasional postcards or letters, start with Postalytics, PostGrid, Lob, Poplar, or Thanks.io because each publishes a free or $0 software tier. Then price the exact piece. Cheap software doesn't rescue an expensive format, and the lowest postcard rate may sit behind a paid plan.

I've stopped recommending an enterprise demo before a team can name its first trigger and audience. One real campaign tells you which category you need.

Which direct mail software integrates with Salesforce?

Most of the shortlist does, but the word "integrates" hides a lot. PFL can place mail inside Salesforce journeys, Sendoso and Reachdesk support gifting from revenue workflows, while Lob and PostGrid may fit better when an API or enterprise connector does the work. Poplar documents Salesforce Marketing Cloud specifically.

Make the vendor show your objects, trigger, failure state, and write-back. A logo on an integrations page isn't enough.

Can direct mail software track who responded?

Yes, when it creates a recipient-level QR code, URL, phone number, or redemption path. Postalytics, Lob, Poplar, and Thanks.io all document response or attribution tools, and several platforms write activity back to a CRM.

But delivery isn't an open, and influenced pipeline isn't incremental pipeline. That's the line I wouldn't let a demo blur.

How should I compare direct mail software pricing?

Compare the total cost of one real campaign at your expected volume. Include the platform, seats, print, postage, address work, creative, storage, kitting, shipping, returns, and internal operations time. Gifts need an unclaimed-funds policy too.

Depends on the job. A quote-only custom kit can be sensible; a quote-only postcard program is harder to defend when several capable vendors publish rates.
